In 1959, Bill and Helen Riggs set out to create a construction company that would provide the best carpentry services with the finest craftsmen in St. Louis. That dream became RIGGS Company, a firm that began with a focus on home remodeling and expanded into carpentry subcontracting to the homebuilding industry and commercial general contractors.
Bill and Helen’s son, Tom, and their daughter Pam grew up in the business. In 1981 when they were ready to hand over the reins of the company, they knew RIGGS Company would be in good hands with Tom managing day-to-day operations and Pam leading office management and accounting. Tom bought the business in 1985 and transformed the company into RIGGS Company, a full service, design-build firm.
Today, Tom’s children Amie Riggs and her brother Bill are the third generation of the family to lead the business after purchasing the company in 2011. They remain committed to living out their grandfather’s vision and embrace the values he held dear – values that allowed him to establish a reputation for uncompromising excellence, and a reputation that remains today.
