This includes adding a bathroom to accommodate my needs as a senior citizen, to remodeling my kitchen, to installing grab bars, to updating and installing handrails for safety and codes, and many other jobs too numerous to list. I have complete trust in all of the personnel in this company, from the owners, to the supervisors, to their other workers. They stand behind all of their services and go above and beyond to follow up on every detail, even years later. Any time I have called them, they are prompt to respond. They do not hesitate to visit my home and look at possible modifications and give honest opinions.

As our house enters its last phase of construction, I just wanted to say how much we have enjoyed working with you and your team. I have been in the construction industry for 15 years and have seen some good contractors and really bad ones. I would rank you and your team among the best that I have worked with.

There are a few things I look for in a good job site superintendent. These are cleanliness, ability to multitask, craftsmanship, and smart use of materials. Doyle does all that and more. He really impressed me when he gave up his time off, after thanksgiving, to come in and finish a few item to keep on schedule. Also, Doyle has made sure the existing house was protected before the sub contractors come in to do work, the following day.

Bill and Brett have been more then patient with ALL of my e mails and questions. Moreover, I was impressed when Brett had printed out the diagrams, of where we wanted to add outlets, before the electrical walk through especially since I had just sent him them on the Sunday before an early morning Monday meeting.

Amy and I had fun going shopping with Amie and work with her to pick out all the finishes. A day that Amy was dreading, just flew by.

This project could have been a lot of headaches had you and your team not been on the ball.

Also the boys have loved watching the construction. They knew if they heard the workers in the morning that it was time to go to school. RIGGS workers and the subs were all very nice and accommodating when the boys were home sick. Several times the electrical subs checked to make sure it was okay to do work in the existing interior while the boys were there.

I’m a bit slow, but truly mean this, I think of (and thank) each of you often whenever I’m home for the various “things” you have done for us at SCT……the shower in the master bath, the gorgeous counter tops in the kitchen, the windows, the LIGHTS in the garage and many, many more things too numerous to mention. I was determined to write tonight, have been meaning to do this “thank you” for way too long.

Simply said: thank you.

I am not just enjoying my space, I am LOVING my new space! I told Brian this morning: I don’t know which I am more excited about – the new bathroom or the laundry area. It is SO NICE to have the laundry area not just on the main floor but right next to our bedroom as well. I don’t know if you all realize it or not, but one reason that my parents had to move out of this house was because it was too hard on my mom’s knees (arthritis) to go up and down the stairs. I am thinking that moving the laundry up on the main floor has bought us a few more good years in our home.

Thanks for the info about cleaning the new surfaces. We will also be sealing the tile grout as soon as we can get to it.

I want to take this opportunity to commend both Brett and Brian on their work. They have both been outstanding on this project. Their communication with us has been excellent; they both listen well to our wishes and our questions. If they could not give us an answer right away, they would find out the information and get back with us. They are both very professional and pleasant to have in our home. I always felt confident in their knowledge, and I knew that even if their were glitches along the way – and there weren’t hardly any – Brett or Brian would follow-through and update me. I hope that somehow they come to know how good they are at what they do.

They were great. They had seven to fifteen people at a time working here in my house. They did something in four months that other companies would have taken a year to do. They were great, they answered my questions, and if they didn’t know the answer, they went and got the answer for me. Everyone who worked here was professional, courteous, and, well, it was quite amazing.

I have noticed for a long time in the past that your construction sites are always neat, tidy, and clean. I drive past your current job in the 1400 block of Dougherty Ferry frequently and have commented to my family about it and decided it was time to tell the person responsible. Thank you!! I wish I could give lessons to other builders.

We really appreciate your care and thoughtfulness over the past two months and how you made what could have been a very painful experience into one that was not so bad. And we love how it all turned out! Casey will miss running up to see you every morning to get pets.

RIGGS keeps the homeowner up-to-date with progress meetings, has excellent subcontractors, excellent protection of property and furniture, completed the project on time and the expertise of RIGGS employees was impressive.
