At RIGGS, we are passionate about giving back to our community. That has been engrained into our business for years by our father, Tom, who is a model humanitarian. Tom is a member of the Kirkwood Rotary Club and volunteers around town to help spearhead improvement projects.
If you’re familiar with the Kirkwood area, then you’ll recognize the wooden fishing dock at Walker Lake. The original dock was built in 1993, and over the years it has seen great wear and tear. Tom worked on the original project in 1993, and pulled together a team of volunteers to replace the floating dock, including the decking and hand rails.
Thanks to the other Rotary volunteers including David Purcell, Pete Broeder and Gerry DeWulf for their help with this rebuild project. It’s exciting to see a team of great people step up to help beautify our community.
